Catalyst
The quest for educational excellence never stops at Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI), Indonesia’s Digital Creative Campus. Recognizing the urgent need to elevate their teaching standards, three dedicated lecturers from UBSI Pontianak Campus—Latifah, Nurmalasari, and Wanty Eka Jayanti—embarked on an international benchmarking journey to I-CATS University College Kuching, Malaysia.
This comprehensive program, titled “Learning System, Research, Doctorate By Research & AI Implementation to I-CATS University College,” was facilitated by the Indonesian Doctoral Management Science Program Alliance (APDMI). The mission was clear: strengthen Indonesian lecturers’ understanding of modern learning systems, doctoral-based research, and artificial intelligence implementation in education.
Rising Action
During their intensive visit, the UBSI lecturers conducted direct observations of I-CATS’ flagship facilities, exploring everything from innovative teaching methods to research management and international publication strategies. Meanwhile, they participated in hands-on mini workshops covering research proposal development, supervision techniques for doctorate by research programs, and AI utilization to enhance learning effectiveness.
The complexity of modern educational systems became apparent as they navigated through various departments. Each facility revealed new layers of sophistication in how contemporary universities operate, particularly in integrating sistem pembelajaran modern with cutting-edge technology.
