UiTM FBM Strengthens Industry Ties Through “Beyond the Bridge” Networking Event
SHAH ALAM, 6 October 2025 – The Faculty of Business and Management (FBM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Puncak Alam successfully hosted FBM Beyond the Bridge: An Afternoon with Industry, a high-impact networking event held at the Concorde Hotel, Shah Alam. Furthermore, the programme served as a strategic platform to bridge academia and industry, fostering collaboration and exploring future opportunities in business and management education.
Distinguished Leadership and Academic Excellence
The event was officiated by YBhg. Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Shahrin bin Sahib @ Sahibuddin, FASc, Vice-Chancellor of UiTM. Additionally, Professor Dr. Muhammad Hussain Ismail, Director of the Industry Network Centre (INC) under the Office of Industry, Community and Alumni Network (ICAN), attended alongside FBM’s management team. Notably, representatives from 42 industry organisations across various sectors participated in this collaborative initiative.

Bhd.
The manufacturing and logistics sectors were represented by Toyota Assembly Services Sdn. Bhd. and FMM Selangor and Kuala Lumpur Branch. Similarly, public and social enterprises like Lembaga Zakat Selangor, Ekuinas, and TERAJU participated in the dialogue.

The programme aimed to showcase FBM’s academic excellence, research achievements, and internationalisation efforts. Consequently, it reinforced the faculty’s reputation at both national and global levels. The initiative also supported key indicators for the QS World University Rankings by Subject, particularly through enhanced employer engagement and industry recognition.
