Held from 25 July to 7 August 2025, the programme brought together 12 undergraduate students from TJU’s School of Microelectronics and 2 accompanying staff. The programme was jointly hosted by the UTB Global Office and the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Programme Area.

The OIPP is designed to offer undergraduate students international opportunities. Its objectives are to enrich students’ academic experiences, enhance their creative and practical skills, nurture global perspectives and cross-cultural understanding, and strengthen institutional partnerships particularly through student exchange initiatives with Tianjin University.

This moment crystallized when a participant representative shared insights and reflections on the programme, highlighting the value of cross-border collaboration and cultural exchange.

Suddenly, the room’s energy shifted as the video presentation began, capturing key moments and achievements from the two-week programme. The footage revealed how microelectronics students had navigated language barriers, cultural differences, and technical challenges to create something extraordinary together.

Resolution

Ultimately, the ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates of excellence to all participants and the showcase of smart robots made by the participants during the two weeks of the programme. These technological innovations represented more than academic achievement—they embodied the fusion of Chinese technical expertise with Bruneian educational hospitality.
