Universitas Tanjungpura Signs Partnership Agreement with PT Bank Danamon to Enhance Student Career Access and Financial Literacy

Universitas Tanjungpura entered into a strategic partnership with PT Bank Danamon Tbk on July 10, 2025, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony held at the 2nd floor of the Rectorate Building in Pontianak. The collaboration aims to expand career access and improve financial literacy for students at the West Kalimantan-based university.

Representing Universitas Tanjungpura was Vice Rector for Finance and General Affairs Dr. M. Irfani Hendri, S.E., M.Si., accompanied by heads of various bureaus including Planning, Cooperation, and Public Relations; General and Finance; Career Development and Entrepreneurship Unit; student affairs representatives; and cooperation staff.

PT Bank Danamon Tbk was represented by Susanty as Regional Consumer Head Kalimantan, Yanti as Area Manager West Kalimantan, Kahfina as HC Region Manager, and Dewi Rahayu Setiawati as TA Region Specialist.

“Hopefully this becomes the first step of collaboration between Untan and Bank Danamon,” said the Vice Rector for Finance and General Affairs regarding his hopes for the partnership.

Head of Career Development and Entrepreneurship Unit, Ikhwan Ruslianto, S.Kom., M.Cs., welcomed the collaboration, noting that industry presence on campus can enrich students’ understanding of the working world.

“In the future we can collaborate to organize activities that bring practitioners so students understand the working world, especially in the banking sector. Additionally, financial literacy also needs to be strengthened so students can manage personal finances and avoid negative phenomena such as online loans and gambling,” he explained.

Susanty, Regional Consumer Head Kalimantan and Universitas Tanjungpura alumna, expressed pride in the partnership establishment. She hopes the collaboration can provide real contributions to human resource development within the campus environment.
