Universitas Tadulako held a comprehensive Workshop on Higher Education Database (PDDikti) Reporting and PIN Validation on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Hotel Aston Palu, drawing 315 participants from across the university. The workshop aimed to strengthen academic data reporting systems and improve diploma PIN validation processes.

The workshop was organized by Universitas Tadulako’s Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs and brought together university leadership, faculty heads, work units, and PDDikti operators from throughout the institution. The event served as a critical moment to strengthen academic data reporting systems and address previous data input errors.

Dr. Elvia A. Y. Alhusni, S.Si., Apt., M.Sc., Head of the Bureau of Academic and Student Affairs at Untad, highlighted the importance of consistency and accuracy in student data management. She identified crucial issues including exception proposal reporting, unvalidated legacy diploma data, and student activity data that serves as the primary benchmark for PDDikti reporting requirements.

The workshop featured expert speakers including Jims Pitavia Anugrah, S.P., M.Si. and Aziz Yanuar Saputra, S.Kom., who provided technical materials on data reporting and validation. Additional speakers from Belmawa, Dany Prima Kresnala, S.Kom., M.T.I. and Rifqi A’zhom Muta’alimin, S.Pd., participated virtually via Zoom platform.

“The number of participants present was 315 people. This workshop is very important because it directly addresses technical issues that have been obstacles, such as incomplete grade input, unvalidated past diplomas, and student activity synchronization,” said Dr. Alhusni.

University Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Amar, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN Eng., emphasized that academic data validity forms the foundation of institutional credibility. “This activity is very important and must be taken seriously. We don’t want any more data leaks, especially grades. We have also prepared a new academic information system (SIAKAD) that has been protected for the upcoming academic year. Therefore, our readiness to welcome the new system must start from now,” he stated.

“Through this activity, let us fix the data comprehensively. There should be no more leaked or invalid data. This is our commitment to educational quality and institutional accountability,” the rector added.

The workshop addresses ongoing challenges in higher education data management, particularly issues with grade input errors that occurred in previous periods. The initiative represents part of broader efforts to improve Indonesia’s national higher education database system integrity and institutional governance quality.

The rector emphasized that data accuracy responsibility extends beyond operators to encompass shared responsibility among all faculty and unit leaders as part of higher education governance quality improvement efforts.

The university has prepared a new protected academic information system (SIAKAD) for the upcoming academic year. Faculty leaders and unit heads are expected to ensure their respective units’ data compliance and accuracy following the workshop guidelines.

The comprehensive data validation initiative aims to eliminate data leaks and establish robust academic record keeping as part of the institution’s commitment to educational quality and organizational accountability.
